So just a few years back my lovely mother decided to force me into an all white costume, complete with a paper hat and some sort of Halloween-esque shoes (note the orange shoe laces).
Little did she know that this elementary school Halloween costume would become a reality over a decade later.
And now I'm living out my dream job as a pediatric nurse at Children's Hospital Colorado
My "dream" job is probably not as "dreamy" as you would think- I love my job, but it has been quite the journey starting at freshman year of college (anatomy anyone?) to the point where I feel like I can comfortably take care of patients without feeling like I might accidentally kill them (I'm still working on that last part).
Okay, for all you non-nurses that are still reading this...
I do love writing about nursing, but I usually write about the funny events or life lessons that just happen to be related to nursing/my job. Some of what I write might be nurses-specific, but MOST will hopefully either share a life lesson, or more often, a hilarious story stemming from a patient story or a mistake I made. Either way, I hope you'll stick around and laugh with me!
